Dr. Liz Norris has worked in a wide range of clinical settings, such as a homeless shelter and rehabilitation program, psychiatric hospital, missions agency, and private practice. Through her work, she continues to see that people are operating out of what they know. Often times, however, it's what we know that keeps us stuck, in pain, or lacking fulfillment in life. Liz seeks to partner with individuals to build a strong therapeutic relationship, working together to meet goals, break cyclical patterns, and find healing. She considers it an honor to be allowed into the sacred spaces with her clients. Liz is a Licensed Professional Counselor (CO # LPC.0017203; GA # LPC010277), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Board Certified-TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH). She is a current member of the American Counseling Association, Association of Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, and the Association of Counselor Education and Supervision. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced-based treatment for trauma and related issues. Distance Counseling (TeleMental Health) is a HIPAA compliant form of therapy that allows an individual to meet with a counselor via video chat. This is a good option for those living internationally or in Georgia and unable to attend a face-to-face session. |
